Football

Southern Maryland has a long tradition of youth football, in all three counties. The Southern Maryland Youth Athletic Conference is where most of the local clubs compete, while some other teams travel a bit further for their competition.

Soccer

Southern Maryland has many options when it comes to youth soccer. From a variety of recreation programs in each county to strong year round local travel clubs and a national level branch of Rush soccer, there are a variety of levels available to our local kids.

Wrestling

The majority of the local wrestling clubs compete in the Southern Maryland Junior Wrestling League, which also includes teams from Prince Georges County and DC. Many accomplished high school wrestlers from the area competed at the youth level in SMJWL in the last decade.

Equestrian

Sandy Point Equestrian provides low cost high quality riding lessons with a certified instructor. SPE is known for it's family friendly environment. SPE offers lessons, show teams, and year round camps specializing in hunters, jumpers and dressage.

Swimming

The area has numerous options for summer swim season, the most popular time of the year for swimmers to compete. Additionally, there are several clubs that offer competition year round.
